Be Part of World AIDS Day With MODA in Atlanta

It’s a few weeks away, but before you know it December 1st will be here and then it will be time to commemorate World AIDS Day. This special day is set aside to recognize and raise awareness for AIDS sufferers both here in the U.S. and the world abroad.

Here in Atlanta, one way you can be involved is to visit it the Museum of Design Atlanta on World AIDS Day. As part of commemorating this important occasion, MODA will be open a full 24 hours as part of this special event. Residents from all around the Atlanta metro area are encouraged to come out and see the museum and explore it’s two current AIDS-related exhibitions “Graphic Intervention: 25 Years of World AIDS Posters” and “The AIDS Memorial Quilt.”

In addition to these special exhibitions and being open for a full 24 hours, several special events are planned in conjunction with the day including workshops, live performances, poetry readings, and more. It’s a full day’s worth of fun activities that any family can enjoy, and it’s all for a very good cause. Mark your calendars now and be sure you don’t miss out on this wonderful charity event geared towards raising awareness for AIDS victims and their families.
