Summer is the perfect time to go out and explore the variety of Johns Creek, GA events available to the public, such as the free Movies in the Park sponsored by the Northside Hospital and Southern Outdoor Cinema association.Originally scheduled for three movies on June 9th, July 14th, and August 4th, the Movies in the Park festival includes family friendly films shown on a giant, inflatable movie screen. Attendees can bring blankets, chairs, food and drinks and set up in the grass to watch the film.
While the movie itself begins at sundown, the event begins around 7pm and includes activities for the kids such as face painting and bounce houses. You can mingle with other attendees, have a picnic in the grass, and enjoy the summer evening with friends and family.
Update: As of May 31st, the exact dates of the Movies in the Park series have been postponed, but not canceled. Check with the event website before heading out on film dates to make sure they will be taking place.
