Medal of Honor Recipient Coming to Johns Creek This Weekend

There’s no doubt that here in Johns Creek we’re quite thankful to all our veterans who have been serving overseas in the past few years. It’s their hard work and sacrifice that does so much for helping keep communities like ours not only save, but also gives us inspiration in so many ways.

We’re especially fortunate because this weekend Johns Creek will be welcoming a very special guest, Major Gen. James E. Livingston of the United States Marine Corps. Originally from Georgia, Major Gen. Livingston was presented with the military’s highest honor, the Congressional Medal of Honor, in 1970 and is the author of the best-selling book “Noble Warrior.” This weekend, on Saturday, May 12th, the Major General will be visiting Park Place at Newtown Park, 3125 Old Alabama Road at 10 a.m. to sign copies of his book and speak with visitors.

This is a great opportunity to meet a true military hero and hear his speak, so Johns Creek residents won’t want to miss out on this. It’ll be a great event where you’ll no doubt get to learn a lot about Major Gen. Livingston’s career and experiences, so come out to Park Place at Newtown Park in Johns Creek and be a part of the fun.
