Georgia Artists Exhibition Starting This Weekend in Johns Creek

Looking to inject a little art into your life? We’ve got just the opportunity for you, and you’ll be helping to support fantastic local artists, as well. Featuring lots of fantastic, expressive watercolor paintings from artists all across Georgia, the Johns Creek Arts Center will be hosting the first ever Georgia Watercolor Society 2012 Signature Exhibition starting this Saturday, and we think you’ll definitely enjoy it.

This first-of-its-kind event will serve as as showcase for a wide variety of original works by inspired, talented artists from right here in Georgia. The excitement will get started this Saturday, January 28th with a free opening reception starting at 6 PM. The exhibition will run for a full month into the end of February, so even if you can’t make it to opening night you’ll have plenty of time to head out to the Johns Creek Arts Center and see all the works they have on display. Besides helping support and promote local artists, you’ll also be getting a look at some really great, personal art that anyone can enjoy.

Don’t Make These Lowball Offer Mistakes

Even though home sales are on the rise, it is still definitely a buyer’s market. Some buyers take an aggressive approach when the home they are interested in has been on the market for an extended length of time. While that might turn out as a positive for both the seller and the buyer, don’t let the mistakes listed below become a deal breaker.

Make sure you have the right Realtor. There is an art to negotiating without offending and causing an adversarial relationship between seller and buyer.
A lowball offer will more likely be accepted if there aren’t a lot of contingencies. Don’t ask the seller to do costly repairs in addition to accepting a lower asking price.
Make sure your finances are in order. Being able to show the seller you are qualified with a reputable lending institution is a definite plus.
Don’t assume just because you have cash that the seller will accept. Some sellers will continue to hold out for the highest selling price possible.

Johns Creek Ranked High in Quality of Life
