What is a home inspection?

A home inspector will come to the house and check the quality of the home’s heating system; air conditioning; indoor plumbing and electrical wiring; the roof, attic, and all visible insulation; walls, ceilings, floors, windows, and doors; and foundation and other structural components. Some of the main home inspection associations include the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), the National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI), and International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI).
